Installed wood-look porcelain tile in a multi-tone herringbone pattern through the entryway and open living area of a 1980s Oakville split-level — about 500 sq ft. The homeowners wanted a hardwood look that would stand up to a busy front entry and the moisture that comes through the door in winter. We laid each plank by hand for a clean, consistent herringbone and set transitions to flow naturally into the adjoining hallway.
